Services

Supervision, consultation and professional development for clinicians, teams and services supporting children and young people.

The Supervision Studio offers practical, reflective and grounded support for professionals who want space to think more clearly, strengthen their reasoning, and feel more confident in the work they are doing.

Services can be tailored depending on whether you are looking for individual OT supervision, group supervision, multidisciplinary supervision, service consultation or professional development.

Individual OT Supervision

For Occupational Therapists working with children, teens and young people who want a dedicated space to reflect, reason and grow.

Individual OT supervision provides space to think through the clinical, reflective and professional parts of paediatric and youth-focused practice. Sessions are shaped around what is actually in front of you — the cases, questions, decisions, reports, relationships, systems and pressures you are navigating.

Supervision may include support with clinical reasoning, assessment planning, case formulation, intervention planning, report writing, NDIS language, goal setting, school recommendations, documentation, scope of practice, complex cases, professional boundaries, confidence and sustainable practice.

This is suited to early-career OTs, sole traders, school-based OTs, private practice clinicians, or therapists who may not have regular access to senior paediatric OT support.

This may be helpful if you are:

  • Feeling unsure about your clinical reasoning or next steps

  • Wanting a considered second perspective on cases

  • Working through complex family, school or system dynamics

  • Looking for supervision outside of your workplace

  • Wanting support with reports, goals or recommendations

  • Wanting to develop your confidence, judgement and professional identity

  • Needing space to pause, think and make sense of the work

Group Supervision

For teams, new graduate cohorts or small groups of clinicians wanting a shared space to learn, reflect and develop together.

Group supervision provides a structured but conversational space to explore clinical practice, build shared understanding and strengthen confidence across a group. Sessions can be designed around the needs of the group, whether that is a new graduate cohort, a workplace team, or a group of clinicians who want to come together around particular topics.

Group supervision may include case discussion, clinical reasoning, reflective practice, topic-based learning, problem-solving, professional identity development and shared reflection on the realities of paediatric and youth-focused work.

This can be helpful for services wanting to support early-career clinicians, teams wanting to build consistency in practice, or clinicians who value learning alongside others.

This may be helpful if you are:

  • A service wanting structured supervision for a team or new graduate cohort

  • A group of clinicians wanting to organise supervision together

  • Looking for topic-based supervision across several sessions

  • Wanting shared learning, discussion and reflection

  • Supporting clinicians who would benefit from both guidance and peer learning

Multidisciplinary Supervision

For allied health professionals, educators, mentors, allied health assistants and teams who want to expand their thinking with an OT lens.

Multidisciplinary supervision offers a space to look at a child or young person’s participation, function, regulation, routines and environments from an occupational therapy perspective. This can be useful when you are wanting a different clinical lens, a broader understanding of what may be impacting participation, or practical ideas that translate into everyday settings.

This service is not about replacing discipline-specific supervision. It is designed to complement your existing knowledge by bringing an OT perspective to the work you are already doing.

Multidisciplinary supervision may include support around participation, daily function, sensory processing, regulation, routines, independence, environmental supports, school engagement, functional goals, family-centred practice and practical strategies that can be used across home, school and community settings.

This may be helpful for speech pathologists, dietitians, psychologists, social workers, educators, mentors, allied health assistants or multidisciplinary teams supporting children and young people.

This may be helpful if you are:

  • Wanting an OT perspective on a child or young person’s needs

  • Feeling stuck and wanting a different way to think about participation

  • Wanting to better understand sensory, regulation, functional or environmental factors

  • Supporting a child across home, school or community environments

  • Wanting to expand your learning beyond your own discipline

  • Looking for practical strategies that make sense in everyday life

Service & Clinical Consultation

For allied health practices, schools and organisations wanting experienced OT input at a service or team level.

Service consultation can support teams to think through how they are supporting children, young people and families, particularly where there are questions around participation, inclusion, sensory needs, regulation, routines, functional capacity, school engagement or practical service recommendations.

This may involve consultation around a specific client situation, team practice, service processes, program development, inclusion planning or how to better embed an OT lens into multidisciplinary work.

This may be helpful for:

  • Allied health services without senior OT support

  • Teams wanting an external clinical perspective

  • Schools wanting support around inclusion and participation

  • Services supporting children with complex developmental or functional needs

  • Professionals wanting practical recommendations that translate into real-world settings

  • Teams wanting to strengthen shared language around function, regulation and participation
