OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SUPERVISION
Clinical clarity, reflective support, and practical guidance for paediatric OTs.
The Supervision Studio offers practical, reflective supervision for Occupational Therapists working with children, teens and young people - a space to slow down, think clearly, and make sense of the clinical, emotional and systemic layers of the work.

Whether you are early in your career, working independently, navigating complex cases, or simply wanting a considered space to reason things through and develop your professional skills - supervision here is designed to help you feel clearer, more confident and more supported in your practice.
The Approach
Good supervision isn't just about getting answers. The Supervision Studio brings together three things paediatric OTs need and rarely find in one place: clinical input you can act on, reflective space to make sense of the work, and deliberate attention to your development as a practitioner. Practical guidance for the realities of private and NDIS practice runs through all of it. Sessions are grounded and honest, shaped around what's actually on your plate — and as active or reflective as you want them to be.
Clinical supervision gives you space to think through the work in a clear and structured way.

This may include assessment choices, clinical reasoning, case formulation, intervention planning, goal writing, reporting, NDIS language, school recommendations, documentation, risk, scope of practice or tricky clinical decisions.

It is a considered second perspective when you want to talk something through properly — not just what you could do clinically, but what is realistic, sustainable and appropriate within the context you are working in.
Clinical Supervision

Reflective Support
Paediatric OT work is not only clinical. It also carries emotional, relational and systemic load.

Reflective support gives you space to make sense of the moments that feel heavy, unclear or hard to hold alone — the family situation that stays with you, the school meeting that felt difficult, the boundary you are unsure about, feelings of imposter syndrome, or the feeling that you are doing too much.

This is not vague reassurance. It is reflective practice that stays connected to real work, real decisions and real next steps.

professional Development

Supervision should support who you are becoming as a practitioner in the long-term, not just help you get through the week.

Professional development within supervision may include setting goals, building confidence in specific skill areas, strengthening your clinical reasoning, developing your OT identity, preparing for more complex work, or reflecting on the kind of clinician you want to become.

The pace can be gentle or more structured depending on your preferences and what you need. The aim is always the same: to help you practise with more clarity, confidence and intention.

Meet Ellen Jolly
Ellen Jolly is a registered Occupational Therapist and Supervisor of The Supervision Studio.

Her career has been in paediatric and youth-focused OT across private practice, NDIS, clinical education, school-based practice and consultative work within schools. She has supported OT students and placements, contributed to inclusive whole-school approaches. She founded and now leads a multidisciplinary allied health service of over 25 staff supporting children and young people. Over the past five years, this leadership role has shaped the practical, systems-aware approach she brings to supervision.

Alongside her clinical work, Ellen supervises and supports Occupational Therapists and other disciplines working with children and teens, with a focus on clinical reasoning, reflective practice, confidence, and developing as a capable, intentional practitioner. Her approach is practical, reflective, neurodiversity-affirming and realistic about the pressures clinicians are under.

She started The Supervision Studio because too many paediatric OTs are doing complex, demanding work without a dedicated and protected space to work through cases, reflect on practice and grow as an individual professional. Supervision here is designed to be this space.

She is dedicated to supporting OTs across Australia who seek practical guidance and professional clarity in their work.
